Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and help strengthen the organization's mission through sound financial management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Maintain the general ledger and oversee reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, grant requirements, and internal controls
• Review accounting transactions and support AP, AR, and payroll processes
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
