Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial and administrative operations in California. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing accounting tasks with analytical and clerical support in a fast-paced environment. The role will contribute to accurate financial processing, maintain organized records, and assist with routine office coordination while working closely with the broader team.

Responsibilities:

- Process incoming and outgoing financial transactions by supporting both accounts receivable and accounts payable activities with accuracy and timeliness.

- Enter, update, and maintain accounting and operational data in company records and spreadsheets to ensure information remains complete and reliable.

- Review account details and perform basic reconciliations to help identify discrepancies and support accurate reporting.

- Analyze routine financial and transactional data to assist the team in tracking patterns, validating entries, and preparing internal summaries.

- Provide administrative support such as organizing documents, managing files, and assisting with general office coordination as needed.

- Communicate with internal staff and external contacts to resolve invoice, payment, and record-related questions in a thorough manner.

- Use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports, maintain logs, and support day-to-day accounting documentation.

- Help maintain orderly accounting records and follow established procedures to support efficient departmental operations.

Requirements - At least 3 years of experience in an accounting support or accounting clerk role.

- Hands-on experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable processing.

- Ability to perform light account reconciliations and investigate routine variances.

- Comfortable with high-volume data entry and maintaining strong attention to detail.

- Experience reviewing and interpreting data to support basic analysis and reporting.

- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage administrative tasks alongside accounting responsibilities.
