Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 DOE
A well-established well drilling and water infrastructure contractor is looking to add an experienced accounting professional to its growing team. The company supports agricultural, municipal, commercial, and industrial clients throughout the region, delivering critical water solutions that keep operations running. TheOpportunity
This position exists to ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and customer account management for a busy construction and field services operation. You'll take ownership of the accounts receivable process from invoicing through collections while partnering closely with project managers, operations teams, customers, and company leadership. WhatYou'll Do
- Manage customer invoicing, payment application, and account reconciliations across multiple projects and service contracts.
- Process billing documentation accurately and ensure invoices are submitted according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate collection efforts, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Review aging reports, identify collection risks, and communicate account status to management.
- Support month-end closing activities, reporting, and general accounting functions related to accounts receivable.
- 3+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of collections, cash application, account reconciliation, and invoicing processes.
- Experience using accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, Vista, Foundation, or similar ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills.
- Construction, contracting, drilling, field services, or related industry experience preferred.
