Location: Bakersfield, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 DOE

This is more than a traditional accounting role. You’ll work closely with project managers and leadership to oversee project financials, monitor job costs, and provide meaningful insight that supports successful project delivery.

As a Construction Accountant, you’ll oversee project accounting activities while supporting financial reporting, billing, and job cost analysis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of construction accounting who enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

• Manage job costing, project budgets, and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle

• Prepare progress billings, retainage schedules, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting

• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Partner with project managers to analyze project profitability and forecast costs

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and maintain accurate project documentation

• 3+ years of construction or project accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting

• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as Sage, CMiC, Foundation, Viewpoint, or similar software

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
