A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join its team. This full‑time opportunity is ideal for professionals with 3+ years of consecutive public accounting tax experience who are ready to take ownership of client engagements, mentor staff, and advance into leadership roles.

Qualifications- 3-5+ years of experience in tax services within public accounting
- Experience at the Senior, Supervisor, or Manager level
- CPA license, EA license, or active progress toward CPA or EA certification
- Experience supervising, training, mentoring, or reviewing staff work
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax preparation, and tax research
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Outlook
- Tax and accounting software platforms
- Lead tax engagements from planning through completion
- Review tax returns, work papers, and supporting documentation
- Research complex tax matters and provide recommendations to clients
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client relationships
- Manage engagement timelines, workflow, and deliverables
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior staff
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client accounts
- Participate in training, professional development, and business development initiatives
- Maintain high standards of client service and technical quality
- Represent the firm in professional and community organizations as appropriate
