TheOpportunity
As the accounting department continues to evolve, this position will serve as a senior member of the finance team, taking ownership of key accounting functions while partnering closely with leadership and operational departments. The Senior Staff Accountant will help drive month-end and year-end processes, support financial reporting initiatives, and contribute to process improvements. WhatYou'll Do
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
• Analyze general ledger activity and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and variance analysis
• Review accounting transactions and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Partner with leadership teams to provide financial insights, reporting support, and process improvement recommendations
What We're Looking For• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis functions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or progress toward certification is preferred
