Salary- $55,000–$65,000 plus bonus

Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role:

The Payroll Specialist will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting employees and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process payroll for employees on a scheduled basis, including weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly payroll cycles
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and taxes
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, tax forms, and direct deposit details
  • Review and verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
  • Respond to employee payroll-related questions and provide timely support
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes
  • Partner closely with HR and finance to ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations
  • Process and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other required payroll documentation
  • Manage garnishments, deductions, benefit contributions, and other payroll adjustments
  • Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements
  • Stay current on payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
