About the Senior Accountant Role

The Senior Accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s month-end close, financial reporting, and overall accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of accounting and wants the opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare trial balances and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers and ensure financial data is accurate and properly supported
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Support external audits by preparing account reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
  • Provide accounting support and financial information to leadership as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
