This role exists to support an expanding audit practice that serves privately held businesses throughout the Central Valley. The Audit Accountant will take ownership of audit engagements from planning through completion, working closely with managers, partners, and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

• Analyze financial statements, account balances, and supporting documentation to evaluate accuracy and compliance.

• Perform audit testing procedures and prepare comprehensive work papers for engagements.

• Review internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.

• Partner with clients, managers, and team members to gather information and address audit-related questions.

• Prepare audit findings, reports, and recommendations while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

• 2+ years of public accounting, audit, or assurance experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and audit methodologies.

• Experience with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and accounting systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA designation or progress toward certification is preferred.
