Document Preparation Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Bakersfield, CA that is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Document Preparation Technicians to support a large-scale records digitization and document management project.

Summary:

This position is responsible for preparing physical documents for scanning and ensuring records are properly organized throughout the digitization process. No prior scanning experience is required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare physical documents for scanning and digital conversion

* Remove staples, paper clips, bindings, and other fasteners

* Organize, sort, and batch records according to project guidelines

* Verify document accuracy and maintain record order

* Identify damaged or irregular documents requiring special handling

* Support quality control procedures

* Maintain productivity goals in a fast-paced environment

* Follow confidentiality and document handling requirements

* Maintain a clean and organized workspace

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School diploma/GED or equivalent preferred

* Strong attention to detail

* Dependable attendance and punctuality

* Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy

* Basic computer skills

* Ability to follow established processes and procedures

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Preferred Experience:

* Data entry

* Administrative support

* Records management

* Mailroom operations

* Warehouse support

* Production or high-volume processing environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
