Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Bakersfield, CA

Required Skills:

Valid Medical License in California

Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) or Family Medicine with OB experience

Proven expertise in inpatient obstetric care and management of labor and delivery

Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience as a hospitalist or in a similar locum role

Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems

BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications

Spanish language proficiency

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

At least 2 years of obstetric care experience in a hospital setting

Prior locum or temporary clinic work highly desirable

Other Requirements:

Availability to start on or around December 31, 2025

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed

Willingness to travel to Bakersfield, CA, and stay for the duration of the assignment

Professional liability insurance coverage required

This opportunity offers an hourly pay rate of $195.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws, and reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other related expenses where applicable.
