JOB GOAL: To meet Dual Immersion Program goals established by the District in relationship to specific needs of students designated to this program
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes positive and respectful relationships with students and families to create supportive and inclusive classroom environments that promote learning for all studentsDesigns and delivers lesson plans that align with grade level state standards, rigor, and meets needs of diverse learners, demonstrating teacher clarity and clear measurement of student learningAdministers summative and formative student assessments, analyzes, and uses results to develop lessons that progress students towards meeting learning goalsDifferentiates instruction to meet needs of diverse learners, including English Language Learners, target language learners, students with disabilities, and students with different learning styles in the classroomProvides in-school intervention and enrichment opportunities to meet students' specific linguistic and academic needsDevelops students' critical thinking, problem solving, creative, collaborative and communication skills at high levels to shape resilient learnersCommunicates regularly with students and families about child's progressCollaborates with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to support student learning and build strong professional learning communitiesParticipates in ongoing professional development, staff meetings and other required meetings to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices in educationEstablishes and manages positive classroom behavior systems that ensure safe, inclusive, and productive learning environmentsDevelops reasonable and specific rules/expectations of classroom behavior and procedures which are implemented consistently and conducive to high levels of learningGuides the learning process in collaboration with parents toward achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear performance goals for all lessons, units and projects that are communicated to studentsServes as child’s advocate, to include making referrals to school wide social and academic provided servicesMaintains and communicates accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy and administrative regulations, including cumulative record folders, 504s, IEPs, attendance reports, and any other reports to parentsUpholds and enforces school expectations, Administrative Regulations, and Board policySupervises students outside classroom including yard duty, assemblies, athletic events, extracurricular activities and all emergency drills to ensure student safetyModels personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountabilityPerforms other related duties as assignedSALARY: $61,232 - $124,012 annually (182 days. Max salary includes education and bilingual stipends)
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable
