Basic Function
Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. Applications will remain active up to two years. This pool will staff part‑time adjunct positions for the 2024‑2025 academic years.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a full range of counseling services and/or instruction in student development courses. Assignment may include counseling/teaching during day or evening, weekends, large classes, distance learning and multiple teaching methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or a related discipline.
- OR a bachelor’s degree in one of the listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).
- OR equivalent education, experience and other accomplishments judged equal. Candidates should submit an Application for Equivalence with supporting documents.
- Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a recognized service.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds.
