ResponsibilitiesThe selected instructor may be assigned to teach at any of the following locations:
- BC – Delano Campus
- BC – McFarland (Adult Learning Center and High School)
- BC – Shafter (Shafter Learning Center and High School)
- BC – Wasco (Adult Education Center and High School)
Instructors will be responsible for:
- Delivering instructional content in their language specialty.
- Developing and assessing student learning outcomes.
- Collaborating with colleagues and participating in recruitment and articulation activities.
- Maintaining subject matter currency and utilizing appropriate educational technologies.
- Master's degree in the language being taught.
- OR Bachelor's degree in the language being taught AND a Master's degree in another language or linguistics.
- OR equivalent combination of education, experience, and accomplishments.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
- Degrees and credits from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406); foreign degrees require evaluation by NACES or ACEI.
- Work effectively with colleagues in a diverse learning environment.
- Engage students with varied skills, motivations, and goals.
- Design curricula for multiple modalities.
- Recruit and articulate with local educational institutions.
- Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain current subject knowledge.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Use computer technologies to enhance instruction.
- Commit to the California community college mission.
- Completed online application for employment.
