Earth Science​/Geology Instructor - Part-time Adjunct Pool

Basic Function

Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part‑time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary is $66.00 per hour, variable based on assignment type and Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. Qualified applicants will be contacted for part‑time adjunct positions for one or more courses in earth sciences.

• Master's degree in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography, or paleontology
• OR Bachelor's in geology AND Master's in geography, physics, or geochemistry
• OR other equivalent combinations of education, experience, and accomplishments (applicants must submit an Application for Equivalency with supporting documentation)

Adjunct pool for part‑time adjunct positions in earth sciences.

• Work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in a diverse environment.

• Develop curriculum, including different modalities.
• Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
