Non-Flight Academic Aviation Instructor
California Aeronautical University (CAU) is seeking qualified aviation professionals to serve as Non-Flight Academic Aviation Instructors within our FAA Part 141 university degree programs. This role focuses on delivering high-quality academic instruction in non-flight aviation coursework to students pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Courses May Include (but are not limited to):
- Airport Management
- Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Airline Operations Management
- Crew Resource Management (CRM)
- Advanced Aircraft Systems
- Classes are taught in two 2-hour blocks
- 6–8 hours per week
- Schedule may vary by term and course assignment
- Provide engaging, effective instruction for non-flight aviation academic courses
- Support students in achieving academic success within CAU degree programs
- Maintain course standards aligned with university and FAA Part 141 requirements
- Prepare and deliver course materials in accordance with approved syllabi
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback
Minimum Qualifications:
Required – Master's degree
