Wellness Counselor – Part-Time Adjunct
Salary: $60.00 hourly
Job Type: Temporary – Adjunct
Location: PC – Main Campus, Porterville, CA

Responsibilities- Work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an environment that promotes innovation, teaching, learning, and service to a diverse student population.
- Work effectively with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic, and vocational goals.
- Develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities.
- Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain subject matter currency.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Use computers and explore new technologies that would benefit the program.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to the California community college mission.
- Master's degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
- Degree and credits from accredited institutions (Title V, Section 53406). Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a recognized credential evaluation service.
