Position Overview
The Board of Trustees of the Panama‑Buena Vista Union School District invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Academic Coach. The Academic Coach will work under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services and will be directly supervised by the site principal. The role focuses on building teacher capacity, delivering professional development, observing instruction, coaching educators, supporting data analysis, and serving as an SST Coordinator.

Annual Salary Range: $65,062 – $126,958, with 25 incremental steps. Step placement on the Academic Coach salary schedule is determined by years of prior experience in the classification and by post‑baccalaureate units earned from a regionally accredited college or university. New hires are not eligible for Column VII placement in their first year. Additional compensation: $1,500 per year for Master’s Degree holders, $2,500 per year for Doctorate Degree holders.
The District contributes up to $19,793 toward family, dental, medical, and vision insurance plans, and provides a life insurance plan for employees.
