QUALIFICATIONS- Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in the area of assignment
- Completion of a bachelor’s or higher degree including all courses needed to meet credential requirements
- Evidence demonstrating potential for success working with children, parents, colleagues, and other adults
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Well organized, punctual, creative, and innovative
- Adaptability to changing environments and expectations
- Proficiency with current technology and educational research‑based practices
To meet the academic and social‑emotional needs of students in accordance with their specific needs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES- Establish positive and respectful relationships with students and their families to create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with grade‑level state standards and rigorous learning goals for diverse learners.
- Administer formative and summative assessments, analyze results, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Differentiation of instruction to address needs of English Language Learners, students with disabilities, and varied learning styles.
- Provide in‑school intervention and enrichment opportunities to meet linguistic and academic needs.
- Communicate regularly with families to inform them of student progress and engage them in the learning process.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student learning and build a strong professional learning community.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and required meetings to improve teaching skills.
- Manage a positive classroom behavior system that ensures a safe, inclusive, productive learning environment.
- Develop and enforce clear, consistent classroom rules and procedures that promote learning.
- Guide parents toward achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear performance goals for lessons, units, and projects.
- Advocate for students, including making referrals to school‑wide social and academic services.
- Maintain accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations.
- Uphold and enforce school expectations, administrative regulations, and board policy.
- Complete student supervision duties outside the classroom such as yard duty, assemblies, and extracurricular activities, and conduct emergency drills to ensure safety.
- Model personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, and accountability.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Salary according to the current teacher annual basic salary schedule (182 days of work).
EVALUATIONPerformance will be evaluated in accordance with the District’s "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, board policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements when applicable.

- Two (2) letters of recommendation dated within the last year
- Evidence of credential authorizing service in the area of assignment
- Transcripts showing a bachelor’s degree
Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license. Fingerprint clearance by the FBI and California Department of Justice is required after other conditions are met. Verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training must be presented within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter.
