Health Instructor - Part-time Adjunct Pool

Job Overview

Kern Community College District offers adjunct positions in the Kinesiology, Health & Athletics Department at Bakersfield College – Panorama Campus, CA. Salary is $67.00 hourly, with the rate subject to assignment type and Lecture Hour Equivalent.

The role is part of the adjunct pool and will be used to staff part-time adjunct positions, including teaching courses, assessing student learning, and participating in recruitment activities as required.

• Master’s in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition or public health; OR
• Bachelor’s in one of the above disciplines and a Master’s in any biological science; OR
• Equivalent qualifications, which may be documented by submitting an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCE form.

Must hold degrees from accredited institutions; foreign degrees evaluated by NACES or ACEI.

• Work effectively with colleagues to promote innovation, teaching, learning and service to a diverse student population.
• Engage students across a wide range of skills and goals.
• Develop curriculum for multiple modalities.
• Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges and universities.
