Professional Learning Specialist
Location: Bakersfield / Central California Region (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite in Assigned School District)
Travel: Daily regional travel within the Central California area is required to support an assigned school district. Occasional overnight travel of up to 20% may be required for team meetings, training, and professional development.
Compensation: Range $65,972 and $85,000 per year depending on experience
OverviewMOGEL, on behalf of a leading education technology organization, is seeking an experienced Professional Learning Specialist to partner with school districts in successfully implementing instructional solutions that improve teaching and learning outcomes.
In this customer-facing role, you'll work closely with district leaders, administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers to provide high-quality professional learning, implementation support, and instructional coaching. As a trusted education partner, you'll help schools maximize the value of their instructional programs by delivering engaging training, fostering educator success, and supporting long‑term adoption throughout the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Professional Learning & Instructional Support- Deliver engaging professional learning sessions for educators and administrators through both in‑person and virtual formats
- Facilitate workshops, presentations, instructional coaching, and product training aligned with district goals and instructional best practices
- Develop customized professional learning plans that support successful implementation and long‑term adoption
- Model effective instructional strategies and provide ongoing guidance to educators throughout implementation
- Serve as a trusted advisor to district leaders, administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers
- Build strong relationships that support successful implementation, customer satisfaction, and long‑term partnership
- Collaborate with internal Customer Success, Sales, and Support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Document implementation activities, session outcomes, recommendations, and next steps within customer management systems
- Coordinate training logistics, scheduling, materials, and communication with district stakeholders
- Manage multiple district initiatives and projects while balancing competing priorities and seasonal demands
- Participate in collaborative Professional Learning Communities to share best practices and continuously improve training effectiveness
- Contribute to team initiatives, special projects, and continuous improvement efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required;
Master’s degree preferred - Minimum of 5 years of experience in K–12 education, blended learning, online learning, instructional coaching, or curriculum implementation
- Current teaching certification required
- Experience delivering professional development, educator training, or instructional coaching
- Experience supporting supplemental instructional solutions or educational technology platforms is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of instructional best practices and adult learning principles
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a remote environment
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with educators, school leaders, and cross‑functional teams
