Coaching Positions for  School Year

The Fairfax School District is excited to announce openings for Fall, Winter, and Spring coaching positions for the  school year. We are filling all coaching positions now to ensure early placement and preparation.

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY

NOTE:

To be eligible for a coaching position:
You must be 100% completed with your regular job duties before coaching responsibilities begin. You are not eligible for overtime assignments that conflict with the hours of your coaching role. All required trainings and certifications must be completed before the start of the season:
Sports Supervision Concussion Awareness Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Athletics Valid CPR Certification Epinephrine Auto-injector Administration certification Must attend one of the following training certifications prior to the start of season You must be available for the entire season.

Duty Times: 3rd-6th: 3:00 - 5:00 PM 7th-8th: 3:15 - 5:15 PM

Season Dates:
August 25 - November 12, 2026 Mandatory Coaches Meeting: TBD

• Football
  • 8th grade (1 position) - Stipend $2,750.00
  • 7th grade (1 position) - Stipend $2,650.00
  • 5th/6th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,400.00
  • 3rd/4th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,000.00
• Volleyball
  • 8th grade (1 position) - Stipend $2,750.00
  • 7th grade (1 position) - Stipend $2,650.00
  • 5th/6th grade (3 positions) - Stipend $2,400.00
  • 3rd/4th grade (3 positions) - Stipend $2,000.00

Season Dates:
November 10, 2026 - March 1, 2027 Mandatory Coaches Meeting: TBD

• Basketball
  • 8th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,750.00
  • 7th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,650.00
  • 5th/6th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,400.00
  • 3rd/4th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,000.00
• Soccer
  • 8th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,750.00
  • 7th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,650.00
  • 5th/6th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,400.00
  • 3rd/4th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,000.00

Season Dates:
March 9 - May 13, 2027 Mandatory Coaches Meeting: TBD Valley Track Meet Dates: TBD

• Softball
  • 8th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,750.00
  • 7th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,650.00
  • 5th/6th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,400.00
  • 3rd/4th grade (6 positions) - Stipend $2,000.00
• Track & Field
  • 7th/8th grade (2 positions) - Stipend $2,750.00
  • 5th/6th grade (3 positions) - Stipend $2,400.00
  • 3rd/4th grade (3 positions) - Stipend $2,000.00
• Boys Volleyball 7th/8th grade (1 position) - Stipend $2,750.00
