Principal
JOB GOALTo work with small groups of identified children to improve their skills and provide direct instruction and strategies for intervention.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES- May be assigned to work in lab, in-classroom setting or separate classroom location
- Works with identified students and may be part of deployment, in-class instruction or small group pull-out
- Works cooperatively with teachers and site support staff
- Performs directed teaching, diagnosing and planning, and intervention
- Ability to be flexible and work independently, self-starter
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Salary and work year according to Teacher-Tutor schedule (maximum of 135 days during the school year)
SALARYSalary according to current teacher salary schedule prorated to assigned hours
EVALUATIONPerformance evaluated in accordance with the District's Improvement of Professional Services handbook, Board Policies and Procedures, and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable.

Required Documents – Copies of required certificates, transcripts, or diplomas may be submitted with application. District may require that originals be presented for verification prior to employment. Applicant must provide these within employment conditions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT- Proof of privately owned automobile insurance and a valid California motor vehicle operator's license may be required
- Fingerprint clearance by the FBI and California DOJ is a condition of appointment after other conditions are met
- Must present verification of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain within six weeks of hire and annually thereafter
