Gameday Sports Academy is a growing youth sports and expanded-learning organization committed to building confident athletes and stronger communities. GSA provides youth leagues, camps, clinics, skills training, school enrichment, tournaments, special events, and customized programming for schools and community partners.
Position Overview
GSA is seeking a Regional Director to strengthen and expand our Fresno-area operations. This individual will oversee local program delivery, develop relationships with schools and community partners, recruit and support coaches, promote GSA programs, and help increase participation throughout the region.
The Fresno Regional Director will build upon GSA’s existing presence while identifying new opportunities involving youth sports, the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, after-school enrichment, summer learning, school-break programming, and community partnerships.
Primary Responsibilities
Regional Growth and Partnerships
- Build relationships with school districts, individual schools, charter schools, municipalities, facilities, businesses, and community organizations.
- Schedule and participate in meetings with potential partners.
- Provide local information and supporting materials to GSA headquarters for proposals, vendor applications, and partnership discussions.
- Secure appropriate facilities for camps, leagues, practices, games, clinics, and events.
- Coordinate GSA basketball programming
- Oversee local camps, developmental leagues, school programs, clinics, and special events.
- Manage schedules, staffing, equipment, facility access, and event-day preparation.
- Ensure programs meet GSA standards for safety, organization, professionalism, and participant experience.
- Communicate regularly with headquarters regarding enrollment, staffing, schedules, challenges, and program performance.
Staffing and Community Outreach
- Recruit, evaluate, and support qualified coaches and program staff.
- Promote programs through community outreach, social media, schools, events, flyers, and local relationships.
- Respond promptly to questions from families, coaches, schools, and prospective partners.
- Help convert camp participants and interested families into ongoing GSA programs.
- Capture and submit program photos, videos, testimonials, and success stories.
Qualifications
- Experience in youth sports, coaching, recreation, education, expanded learning, program management, or community development.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with Fresno-area schools, sports programs, facilities, and community organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple schedules, programs, employees, and priorities.
- Reliable transportation and availability for some evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to GSA leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with Fresno-area schools, districts, coaches, or facilities.
- Experience with ELO-P, ASES, after-school programming, grants, contracts, or public-sector partnerships.
- Experience launching or expanding youth programs.
- Bilingual communication skills are welcomed but not required.
