The Department of Physics & Engineering currently offers a BS in Physics, a BS in Engineering (with optional concentrations in Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering, Engineering Management, Petroleum Engineering, and Energy and Power).

Description:
The Department of Physics and Engineering at California State University Bakersfield accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part-time lecturers.
Applicant pools are used to fill short-term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. This applicant pool may be used to fill vacant positions on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.
Minimum Qualifications
:
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in any engineering field with sufficient professional experience, OR a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in any engineering field with appropriate academic credentials. Applicants must demonstrate a proven ability to teach both lecture courses and laboratory sessions effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
:
Applicants hold a Ph.D. degree in some specific engineering fields (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering) with appropriate academic credentials.
Rank and Salary: Lecturer and salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Position's appointment is subject to budgetary authorization. The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:
