Position: Campus Supervisor – Extended Learning Programs (Open to In-District Applicants Only)
CAMPUS SUPERVISOR – EXTENDED LEARNING PROGRAMS
(OPEN TO IN-DISTRICT APPLICANTS ONLY)
QUALIFICATIONS:Education, training and experience equivalent to completion of twelfth gradeCompletion of school security officer course of training approved by Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California Department of Consumer AffairsKnowledge of and ability to implement Restorative PracticesKnowledge of or ability to learn appropriate laws, school safety procedures, and district policies and proceduresAbility to work with students in school setting; experience with junior high school age youths preferredAbility to use good judgment, poise and tact when working with students, staff and communityAbility to communicate effectively and write concise, accurate and professional quality reportsAbility to supervise work of othersWillingness to work irregular and flexible hours and/or weekendsValid California driver’s license and personal automobile for use on District businessREPORTS TO: Administrator and assigned

JOB GOAL: To assist in providing a safe and secure school environment for students, staff and community
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Elementary school site assignment may require adjusted work schedule to provide services and support to after school program, events, and activities2. Mentors and supports students as assigned through the site’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) team3. Works to monitor and support appropriate pro-social behavior and reinforce school rules and procedures directed by principal; maintains discipline and order on campus and at school activities as assigned; intercedes in and resolves student conflicts such as bullying, fights and arguments;4. Cooperates with school personnel and law enforcement agencies in prevention, control and investigation of school safety threats and illegal activities by persons or groups directed against district students, personnel or facilities5. Supervises after school programs; supervises noontime, after school, evening and weekend activities as assigned by principal6. Recognizes and implements the tenants of Restorative Practices involving students and staff7. Understands and implements the practice of Professional Learning Communities and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)8. Works in a collaborative Professional Learning Community with campus supervisors from other campuses to identify best practices, develop professionally, and improve social-emotional, behavioral, and safety systems and structures within the District’s MTSS model9. Attends and participates in trainings related to student behavior, nonviolent crisis intervention, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL++)++ and other related trainings as assigned10. May supervise work of designated staff members as assigned by principal11. Maintains inventory of assigned school equipment and supplies12. Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountability13. Performs other related duties as assignedSALARY: $32.90 – $48.53 per hour
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District’s “Improvement of Professional Services” handbook, Board ++Policies and Procedures++ and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable
NEW PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES AND PERMANENT EMPLOYEES WHO BECOME PROBATIONARY UPON RECLASSIFICATION:
A new employee, or a permanent employee who is changed to a new classification, shall serve a probationary period, which shall not exceed six (6) months of duty time exclusive of leaves of absence or other absences. During this probationary period the employee must meet the required standards of performance to be recommended for permanent status in the classification. A probationary classified service employee may be terminated from the probationary classification at any time without cause, without right of appeal or hearing before the Board of Education.
