School Para educator | Up to $23/hr | Bakersfield, CA

Up to $23/hr | Monday–Friday | School-Based

Looking for a weekday role where you can work directly with students while keeping your evenings and weekends free? This school-based Para educator opportunity offers a consistent schedule and the chance to support students throughout their school day.

Depending on your assignment, you may work 1:1 with a student or provide support within a classroom.

• Help students with classroom activities and assigned schoolwork
• Reinforce academic, behavioral, and social skills
• Provide 1:1, small-group, or classroom support
• Follow student IEPs, 504 plans, and teacher-directed strategies
• Support positive behavior and appropriate classroom expectations
• Assist students during transitions, breaks, meals, and other school activities
• Prepare or modify instructional materials as directed
• Observe student progress and communicate with teachers and supervisors
• Assist with personal care when required, including toileting, diapering, hygiene, and grooming
• Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association preferred
• Ability to work effectively with students who have varying support needs
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
• Ability to meet assignment-specific physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting students as needed

Previous school-based experience is helpful but not required.
