RS&H is seeking a Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our Environmental Stewardship and Resilience (ESR) team in the western United States (hybrid or remote in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Salt Lake City or Denver).

This role involves providing environmental stewardship, sustainability, and resilience planning, permitting, and consulting services to diverse clients nationwide. The individual will help identify and incorporate sustainability measures to enhance project resilience and will mentor junior staff, support project pursuits, and contribute to project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, experience with sustainability and resilience planning, and knowledge of the ISI ENVISION rating system. Additional interests include energy, water, wetlands, spill management, and environmental compliance systems.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.
• 15+ years of applicable consulting experience.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior consultants.
• Strong communication and software skills (MS Office, ESRI ArcGIS).

• ENVISION Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
• Relevant certifications such as C.E.P., C.E., PE, or PG.
• Experience with NEPA documentation is a plus.

Salary range in Los Angeles: $160,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience.
