Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Asset Integrity Engineer through March 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time).

The Asset Integrity Engineer supports the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of Chevron facilities by providing technical expertise in mechanical integrity, inspection, corrosion, and risk management. This role is responsible for ensuring pressure equipment and piping systems are designed, maintained, and operated in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and Chevron requirements. The position works closely with operations, maintenance, inspection, and engineering teams to manage asset risks and drive continuous improvement in asset integrity performance.

Responsibilities
  • Providing asset integrity engineering support for pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and associated systems
  • Developing and maintaining inspection, corrosion, and integrity management strategies in accordance with industry codes and Chevron standards
  • Evaluating inspection results, corrosion data, and damage mechanisms to assess equipment fitness‑for‑service and remaining life
  • Supporting risk‑based inspection (RBI) and integrity assessments to prioritize mitigation actions
  • Participating in Management of Change (MOC), incident investigations, and root cause analyses related to asset integrity
  • Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and inspection personnel to resolve integrity issues and improve equipment reliability
  • Preparing technical reports, recommendations, and engineering documentation to support decision‑making
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or related discipline) or Equivalent military, technical, or industry experience demonstrating increasing responsibility in asset integrity, inspection, or mechanical integrity roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in asset integrity, mechanical integrity, inspection, corrosion, or reliability engineering within an industrial or energy environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, NACE/AMPP).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical data, assess risk, and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or industry certifications (e.g., API 510, 570, 653, AMPP certifications).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting integrity management programs for operating facilities.
  • Experience with RBI, fitness‑for‑service assessments, and damage mechanism evaluations.
  • Familiarity with Chevron systems, standards, and Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) practices.
  • Experience working in regulated, safety‑critical operating environments.
Special Considerations
  • This position may require periodic field exposure in operating facilities and the ability to comply with site‑specific safety requirements.
