The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) reports directly to Branch Management and is responsible for the development of opportunities and driving business within the defined territory. The TSM will explore market potential and identify customer base to promote environmental business opportunities related to essential lines of business. The TSM will also develop and maintain strong customer relationships. Additionally, the TSM is responsible for supporting the overall performance of their assigned territory to ensure operations are conducted in a safe compliant and effective manner consistent with Gray Mar’s established objectives policies and procedures.

Provides support and oversight of assigned projects including day‑to‑day activities personal management scope of work and other duties as assigned to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure each employee is prepared and educated on Safe work practices
• Develop, coach and train employees. Provide ongoing feedback and motivation.
• Identify, strategize and execute new and existing customer opportunities to support branch revenue.
• Develop estimates, quotes and proposals for new and existing customer projects.
• Review and understand bib specifications and requirements.
• Conducts all business agreements ensuring that environmental health and safety is the paramount priority by following policies, processes and acting in a safe and professional manner.
• Manage projects with work scope in environmental remediation, industrial services, emergency response and hazardous materials transportation and disposal.
• Lead day‑to‑day activities of assigned projects including customer communication, quality control, project schedule, project work plan, cost tracking, and possible changes in scope of work.
• Field supervision of employees, providing direction, safety protocols, scope of work and best practices.
• Complete required project documentation with accuracy, and in required time frames.
• Support waste management responsibilities including but not limited to profile requests and submissions, manifesting, placarding, labeling, recordkeeping, 10-day logs, waste inspections, branch Non-Haz/VSQG bulking, consolidation, re‑packaging, drum in/drum out waste programs, scheduling, and as‑needed use of waste management software.
