ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn to monitor shipping, receiving, installation, relocation, removal, storage, etc. of gaming devices for security and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensure accurate records are maintained on same.
  • Learn to utilize Kobetron and any device or equipment for the purpose of testing gaming device computer control software for verification of validity and authorized programming.
  • Learn to maintain control over access to sensitive areas of gaming devices.
  • Assist with monitoring table games and drops for compliance.
  • Assist with monitoring count room activities for compliance.
  • Assist with ensuring that the casino fulfills all of its reporting requirements including but not limited to:
    Title 31, IRS, NIGC, State and Commission reports and assessments.
  • Learn to monitor log sheets for keys, liquor sweeps, and gaming device movements.
  • Work closely with the Director of Compliance & Audit, Auditors, Surveillance personnel, and Background Investigators as well as appropriate Casino personnel in fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Attend required meetings and training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Must have knowledge of Tribal communities, specifically, the Tejon Tribal community or be willing to become knowledgeable.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in exercising sound professional judgment, determination, and persistence.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, typing/word processing, communication, grammatical and composition skills.
  • Must have knowledge with the Tejon Gaming Ordinance, /State of California Tribal Gaming Compact, Tejon Gaming Regulations, and Tejon Tribal MICS.
  • Must be able to understand and maintain confidentiality of communications.
  • Must work well in a team environment, be a quick learner and have solid time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Prefer one (1) year regulatory experience in auditing, investigations, or certified training.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, transportation, and insurance. (required).
  • Knowledge of Tribal Gaming operations and facilities (preferred).
  • Must have an advanced ability in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be personable and polite with ability to use discretion, initiative, and good judgment in the performance of duties.
  • Must be able to work evening hours and weekends.
  • Must pass a background security check prior to employment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests as requested over course of employment.

A list of qualified candidates is created from interviews that may be used to appoint individuals to similar positions within the Tejon Indian Tribe for a period of six months.
