Human Services Finance Director
This is a Countywide Promotional Examination limited to eligible Kern County employees. Examinations:
Appraisal (Weight 100%):
Will be conducted for the purpose of evaluating the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any combination of the following:
Investigation, oral exam and rating of the application. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process. Should an oral exam be necessary, the oral exam will be weighted 100%. Minimum qualifications/Employment Standards:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in finance, accounting, business administration or another closely related field. Five years of management experience in government, private industry or non-profit accounting or finance, including the responsibility for planning, organizing, and directing a mid to large, complex fiscal section of an agency or organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Certified Public Accountant license. Prior management experience in a social service agency.
