Overview
The Contracts and Grants Analyst provides comprehensive pre- and post-award research administration support for the School of Medicine (SOM) Finance and Administration team. The incumbent assists faculty and departmental leadership with proposal development, budget preparation, award management, financial analysis, compliance monitoring, and post-award administration to support the successful management of sponsored research programs. This position helps ensure adherence to University, sponsor, and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality customer service and operational support to advance the research mission of the School of Medicine.
Responsibilities- Assist faculty and departmental leadership with proposal development.
- Prepare budgets and manage financial aspects of research programs.
- Handle award management and post-award administration.
- Conduct financial analysis and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to University, sponsor, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and operational support to advance research mission.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. The University is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Applicants will be assessed based on the minimum requirements for the level(s) for which they have applied.
Compensation and Work ArrangementFull salary range for the Contracts and Grants Analyst is $34.17 - $49.94 hourly, with expected pay scale up to $38.52 hourly. This is a hybrid position, with three days onsite and two days remote.
