Our client, a respected nonprofit organization in Kern County, is seeking an experienced Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all accounting and finance operations. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys partnering with executive leadership while remaining hands-on with the organization's financial health.

Mentor and develop the accounting team
Identify and implement process improvements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Previous leadership or management experience
Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
Experience with budgeting, audits, and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Excellent communication and leadership skills
