Human Resources Generalist – Multi-Specialty Medical Practice
Legacy Staffing is proud to partner with a well-established multi-specialty medical practice—serving cardiology, neurology, and OB‑GYN patients—to find a qualified Human Resources Generalist
. This role is ideal for an HR professional with healthcare experience who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and is passionate about supporting both employees and leadership.
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, training coordination, and policy implementation. This position is central to fostering a workplace culture that reflects the client’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding- Post job openings, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews
- Facilitate onboarding and ensure completion of new hire documentation
- Organize orientation sessions and ensure training compliance
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Track licensure, certifications, and mandatory trainings (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
- Assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory reporting (EEOC, ACA, etc.)
- Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Support management with disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans
- Assist in investigating and documenting complaints and grievances
- Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee education
- Coordinate leave tracking (FMLA, CFRA, etc.) and return‑to‑work processes
- Collaborate with payroll on benefit deductions and updates
- Monitor training compliance and schedule staff development sessions
- Assist with leadership development and compliance programs
- Help implement and communicate HR policies and procedures
- Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with organizational values
- Support DEI and employee recognition initiatives
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or a regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Bamboo
HR) - Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- PHR, SHRM‑CP, or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Problem‑solving and conflict resolution
- Time management and task prioritization
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Detail‑oriented with multitasking ability
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced healthcare setting
$70,000 – $85,000/year
Final compensation will be based on experience, education, certifications, and industry‑specific expertise.
