Application Architect - Cloud Data Modernization

Overview

CTG is seeking an experienced Application Architect – Cloud Data Modernization to lead enterprise-scale data modernization and migration initiatives for our client. This role is ideal for a hands-on architect with deep expertise in cloud, data, and ETL solutions.

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Duration: 10 months

• Lead the design and delivery of cloud-based data modernization and transformation solutions.
• Architect and support large-scale, like-for-like data migrations across multiple platforms.
• Design ETL solutions for complex data environments, including:
• Oracle to PostgreSQL
• Oracle to SQL Server (as a Service)
• Relational to No
  
  SQL
• Data Warehouse to Data Lake
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to address complex data challenges.
• Partner with technical leads, DBAs, and developers to deliver high-quality solutions using agile methodologies.
• Serve as a Data, Cloud, and Quality SME.

• Strong experience in cloud data architecture and modernization
• ETL design and implementation expertise
• RDBMS platforms:
  Oracle, Postgre
  
  SQL, SQL Server, Amazon RDS
• Data Lake technologies and modern cloud data ecosystems
• ETL and data transformation tools (e.g., IBM Info Sphere Data Stage, Informatica Power Center, Microsoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator)
• Experience with XML, JSON, No
  
  SQL, and Python
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Advanced expertise as a Data, Cloud, and Quality SME
• Experience modernizing legacy data platforms at scale

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
