Responsibilties of the Procurement Specialist

  • Manage purchasing activities, including sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials and supplies
  • Research vendors, compare pricing, and negotiate costs and terms
  • Create and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate purchasing needs
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure materials and products are available when needed
  • Review invoices, packing slips, and purchasing documentation for accuracy
  • Maintain organized procurement records, vendor information, and pricing data
  • Resolve purchasing, delivery, and vendor issues as they arise
  • Assist with identifying cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities

Preferred Qualifications for the Procurement Specialist

  • 1+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
