Project Manager, Operations Management, Project & Program Management

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale capital equipment installation project within an operational manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing the project lifecycle from planning and equipment procurement through installation, commissioning, and operational acceptance. This is a contract engagement anticipated to last approximately 9 to 12 months with the potential for future project opportunities based on performance.

Pay: $52 -$57/hr

• Develop and manage the overall project schedule and execution plan
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers throughout design finalization, testing, delivery, and installation
• Oversee equipment logistics, shipping coordination, and vendor management activities
• Manage contractors and cross-functional teams during installation and startup phases
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality requirements in an active production environment
• Lead commissioning activities, performance validation, and final acceptance processes
• Coordinate training and knowledge transfer for end users and operations personnel
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion

• 5+ years of experience managing capital equipment implementation projects
• Experience installing equipment within operating manufacturing or processing facilities
• Proven success delivering projects within fixed production, shutdown, or seasonal implementation windows
• Experience managing equipment suppliers and external vendors through delivery and acceptance
• Knowledge of equipment commissioning and performance validation processes
• Experience managing capital project budgets exceeding $1 million
• Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Background in automated equipment, industrial systems, or process improvement projects
• Experience working in manufacturing, processing, production, or industrial environments
• PMP certification preferred

Primarily remote with periodic travel required based on project milestones. Increased onsite presence expected during installation, startup, and commissioning phases.
