Full‑Time Regular - Shift: 1 (6:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday; occasional Saturdays/Sundays)
- Pay Range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
As a PMO, you will set up, operate, and maintain automated bagging and scale equipment to produce high‑quality, packaged carrot products safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the production team to meet daily production goals, minimize waste, and uphold good manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain packaging equipment to ensure efficient and safe production of high‑quality products.
- Monitor the production line and adjust settings to meet company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records and report concerns to the Production Supervisor.
- Minimize film and carrot waste, monitor weight control, maintain sanitation, and ensure product quality.
- Meet daily bag quantity and quality quotas based on machine efficiency.
- Check film usage, weight accuracy, and product appearance (code dates, seals, graphics, etc.).
- Keep your work area orderly and clean, following sanitation guidelines.
- Report equipment breakdowns and perform daily lubrication and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in monitoring metal detector/X‑ray and other critical control points for foreign objects and compliance with government guidelines.
- Follow proper procedures to change bags, replenish supplies, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Adhere to time‑management, body‑mechanics, and teamwork practices to maximize productivity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or one year of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
- Proven, reliable work history.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet production goals.
Skills and Abilities
- Complete scale and bagger training and pass final exams.
- Work effectively under fast‑paced, high‑pressure conditions.
- Follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Use equipment and tools necessary for the job.
- Attain certification on bagging and scale machines through required training and certification program.
- Complete Lock‑out/Tag‑out Awareness Training.
- Ensure efficient and safe production of high‑quality products.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to operate and maintain packaging equipment.
- Six months to one year of experience operating packaging equipment in a food production or manufacturing setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience with Triangle, Pacmac, or Ishida scales and bagging machines.
- Experience with automated packaging equipment.
- Experience in the food or beverage industry.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Lift, slide, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three‑point contact.
- Work in hot or humid conditions (≥ 95 °F) or cold/wet conditions (≤ 40 °F).
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
- Stand for extended periods.
- 1st shift: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday.
- Occasional Saturdays or Sundays; rotating schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required based on business needs.
