Laborer​/Picker

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Picker / Yard Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of our metal recycling operation, manually sorting, grading, and processing various scrap metals. This is a physically demanding, fast‑paced outdoor role perfect for individuals who enjoy active teamwork and hands‑on industrial work.

• Material handling / sorting – pushing, pulling, picking, lifting, carrying, and filling up hoppers, boxes, and conveyor belts
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more
• Work with recycling equipment for processing metal product (e.g., metal shears, band saw, and wire strippers)
• Light facility maintenance – painting, scraping, moving furniture and equipment
• Maintain the yard clean by picking up metal material
• Cleaning, shoveling, and debris collection
• Clean up work area at the end of shift
• Keep work areas neat and orderly
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, which are essential job functions
• Organize materials to use space more effectively
• Dispose of various waste materials in the appropriate manner

• Employees in this position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are "grandfathered" into their positions.
• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.

• Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and SA Recycling safety, health, and environmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
