Full-Time Regular. Pay Range: $21.50 - $27.00.

What You'll Be Responsible For In This RoleThe Mechanic supports the Equipment Coordinators and Supervisor with daily maintenance and repairs for a wide range of equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance on material-handling equipment, racks, dock ramps, and related components according to manufacturer specifications. The role also requires regular troubleshooting and proper use of equipment manuals. Candidates must have basic mechanical knowledge and two to three years of experience working with electric forklifts, man lifts, stackers, electric carts, and battery chargers.
Work is performed in a field environment under specific instructions, time expectations, and quality standards.

Skills and Abilities:
- Assist internal maintenance departments in maintaining company equipment as required
- Demonstrates integrity and adheres to company ethics guidelines
- Follow company and department rules and policies
- Works directly with Equipment Coordinators, Supervisors, and department managers to achieve project goals as needed
- Always maintain clean shop areas and job sites
- Work in a productive manner and strive to maintain a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Keep Equipment Coordinators informed about daily production and finished product quality
- Maintain a variety of equipment and tools to ensure their safe operation
- Maintain assigned tools and equipment
- Maintains maintenance log
- Inspect equipment components for safety decals and compliance
- Perform timely check out/ check in
- Load/unload equipment
- Pickup and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors
- Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage and fuel levels
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other required equipment safely
- Performs skilled hydraulic mechanical troubleshooting repairs
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair hydraulic equipment
- Test and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment
- Repair, replace, adjust, and align components of machinery
- Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment, and machinery
- Examine parts for defects
- Performs other assigned duties and/or projects to support business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School/GED or two to three years' experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
- 2+ year's troubleshooting repairing and performing preventative maintenance
- Candidates must have a verifiable history of safe vehicle operation and meet company standards for driving eligibility. This includes maintaining a clean driving record, which will be verified through a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree in Electrical and Electronics in a plus
- Technical School for Hydraulic Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Arc / Mig welding and cutting methods
- Previous experience in troubleshooting hydraulic systems
- Environmental exposure - cold/wet conditions (40 ° Fahrenheit or below); will work in the warehouse building as well as ALL facilities (indoor and outdoor).
- Material exposure – moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 55 lbs.
