Job Description & How to Apply Below

We build people, develop leaders, solve problems at the source, and improve every day to better serve our customers.

Our culture is built on Respect for People and Continuous Improvement. We believe leadership is about developing people, building trust, and creating an environment where everyone succeeds.

The Opportunity

The Operations & Continuous Improvement Manager leads the manufacturing operation by developing people, driving operational excellence, and delivering outstanding Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) results. This is a hands‑off leadership role. You will spend most of your time in Gemba coaching supervisors, removing obstacles, improving flow, and building a culture of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Leadership: Build a culture of respect, accountability, teamwork, and high performance by coaching supervisors, developing future leaders, and setting the standard through your actions.
  • Safety: Nothing we build is worth someone getting hurt. Create a culture where every employee goes home safely every day through proactive leadership, standard work, hazard elimination, and personal accountability. Goal:
    Zero Injuries.
  • Customer Quality Excellence: Build quality into every process—not inspected at the end. Develop people to solve problems at the source, reduce defects, and deliver trucks our employees are proud to build and our customers are proud to own.
  • Production Flow & Execution: Design a production system that consistently delivers every custom truck safely, with exceptional quality, and on time by aligning customer priorities, engineering, materials, labor, and production capacity while eliminating constraints before they become problems.
  • Operational Excellence: Build leadership systems that create accountability, visual management, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. Use data and KPIs to coach people, improve processes, and strengthen SQDCP performance—not simply report results.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean principles including Gemba, Morning Meetings, Visual Management, 5S, Standard Work, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, and Kaizen to create a culture where every employee improves every day.
What Success Looks Like
  • An engaged, high‑performing team built on respect and accountability.
  • A safer workplace with a goal of zero injuries.
  • Improved production flow and on-time delivery.
  • Higher first‑pass quality with less rework and fewer warranty claims.
  • A culture where problems are solved, not hidden.
  • Continuous improvement embedded into daily operations.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years leading manufacturing operations
  • Proven experience leading supervisors and developing people
  • Strong coaching, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Hands‑on leader who thrives in Gemba
  • High‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and bilingual English/Spanish preferred
