Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Purpose
Responsible for automation shop duties required to maintain accurate inventory counts, shop cleanliness, and a safe working environment while performing the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electrical and pneumatic automated valve assemblies.
Salary and BenefitsSalary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

- Maintain shop cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and MRC Global safety policies.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Technical Inside Sales Reps to complete customer orders.
- Assemble packages according to the sales order.
- Assemble and test mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic automated assemblies.
- Prepare documentation for each order in a neat and orderly manner.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
- Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to learn and be proficient with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve automation assemblies.
- Ability to learn and operate material handling equipment.
- Basic knowledge of gearing, bearings, and mechanical assemblies.
- Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components.
- Knowledge of and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- General working knowledge of tools, wrenches, and mechanical parts and warehouse equipment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively individually and in teams.
- Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.
- Ability to read and speak English proficiently to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.
- Ability to understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines and expectations, including the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
