ER Nurse Shift Manager – Level Leadership Role

We are seeking a strong ER Nurse Shift Manager (NSM) for a busy 21-bed Emergency Department.

⚠️ This is NOT a standard ER RN role.
Traveler must have strong Charge RN or management experience.

NSMs:

• Run the department during shift
• Take patient assignments as needed
• Triage ambulance arrivals
• Start IVs / administer meds
• Support staff wherever needed
• Act as Charge RN + Manager

This is a hands-on leadership position.

• 21 beds + Fast Track
• 115–175 patients daily
• Primary Stroke Center
• 1:4 ratio (1:2 ICU)
• Cerner EMR
• No dedicated IV team
• RT & Pharmacy 24/7

Med Surg/Tele holds possible in ER.

✔ Strong Charge RN or management experience
✔ BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required
✔ Confident leading high-volume ER
✔ Must be team-oriented
✔ Must treat this as primary job

• 12hr Nights
• 36 hours/week
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• 1 major + 1 minor holiday

Floating possible between two ER campuses (6.5 miles apart).
