Job Title:
Registered Nurse - NICU
Location:
Bakerfield, CA

- Neonatal Assessment & Monitoring – Assess and monitor premature and critically ill newborns, including vital signs, oxygen levels, and developmental needs.
- Specialized Care Delivery – Administer medications, IV fluids, oxygen therapy, and manage ventilators or other life-support equipment.
- Feeding & Nutrition Support – Provide specialized feeding (breastfeeding support, tube feeding, TPN) to meet infant nutritional needs.
- Family Education & Support – Educate and counsel parents on newborn care, progress, and discharge planning, offering emotional support.
- Emergency Response – Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening conditions such as respiratory distress or sepsis.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team – Work closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive care.
- Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate records of care, treatments, and ensure adherence to NICU protocols and safety standards.
