Appraisal (Weight %):
Will be conducted for the purpose of evaluating the applicant’s training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the job based on any combination of the following: investigation, oral exam and/or rating of application. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Level I: $4,088.34-$4,885.94
Level II: $4,748.19-$5,674.53
Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards Level I- Valid Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing AND valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing OR
- A valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California, Department Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing and possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university with coursework in public health or community health and application has been submitted to the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing for a Public Health Nurse Certificate.
- Possess and maintain a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
- Failure to maintain a valid Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing will result in termination.
- Possession of a valid Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
- Possession of a valid Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing AND two (2) years of public health and/or community health nursing experience OR three (3) years of nursing experience may be substituted for the two (2) years of public health and/or community health nursing experience.
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing.
- Possess and maintain a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
- Failure to maintain a valid Registered Nurse License issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Registered Nursing will result in termination.
- Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
