Shower Aide (CNA Required) – Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
Kern River Transitional Care – Bakersfield, CAPay Range: $18–$19/hour BOEKern River Transitional Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Shower Aide (CNA) to join our team! General Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents, with a focus on assisting residents with showers and personal hygiene needs in accordance with each resident’s care plan, facility policies, and state regulations.
Essential Duties Assist residents with showers, bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Ensure resident comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
Assist with transporting residents to and from shower areas
Maintain clean, safe, and organized shower and bathing areas
Document care provided in accordance with facility policies
Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
Qualifications
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California (required)
Previous skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers
Ability to lift/move residents with proper equipment and assistance
