American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a day shift travel contract in Bakersfield, CA, requiring recent Epic experience and a minimum of 3 years of OR specialty experience.

• Work in the Operating Room (Surgery) department of a 254-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Epic EMR used; recent Epic experience within the last 12 months is required

• Active CA RN license, unrestricted and currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Must have worked in the OR specialty within the last 3 months
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
• BSN preferred
• Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
• Candidates must have a clean, unrestricted license with no prior license violations

• Delivers coordinated nursing care per established standards, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and outcome evaluation
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to provide safe, patient-centered care
• Participates in discharge planning and patient/family education
• Delegates and coordinates duties among healthcare team members as appropriate
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
• Local candidates are welcome to apply — no radius restriction, and local rates are the same as travel rates
• Candidates may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
