Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of both mother and baby through comprehensive clinical oversight and support.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' health status and monitor fetal and maternal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing activities within the labor and delivery unit.
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in labor and delivery or neonatal care.
• BLS certification held from an approved vendor; ACLS and NRP certifications required.
• Proficient in fetal monitoring and emergency obstetric procedures.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
