Registered Nurse (RN) – GI/Endoscopy

📍 Location: Bakersfield, CA
🗓️ Contract: 13 Weeks
⏰ Shift: 12-Hour Days | 3 Shifts/Week
📅 Schedule: Varied Start Times | No Block Scheduling

Weekly Gross: $2882/week
Hours: 36 hrs/week

Straight: $1400

Stiepnd :$1442

Join one of the busiest Endoscopy departments within Common Spirit Health, performing approximately 5–25 procedures per day across 2 procedure suites.

• EGD
• Colonoscopy
• ERCP
• Bronchoscopy
• EUS
• PEG
• Bedside procedures in the ER & ICU, when needed

RNs are responsible for all 3 phases of care, including:

• Pre-procedure preparation
• Intra-procedure/circulating responsibilities
• Post-procedure recovery
• Recovery of patients receiving MAC and procedural sedation
• Assisting with bedside procedures in ER/ICU when required
• With procedural sedation, working as either Circulator or Sedator
• Patient monitoring and ensuring safe recovery

Note: Patients requiring intubation are transferred to PACU for recovery.

• Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy RN experience
• Procedural sedation experience is required
• Call experience is required
• BLS – Required
• ACLS – Required
• Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures and patient recovery

• 2 Endoscopy Suites
• Approximately 5–25 procedures/day
• Charge Nurse available every shift, Monday–Friday
• Endoscopy Techs are available in each room except Bronchoscopy
• RT supports Bronchoscopy procedures
• No block scheduling
• Varied start times

• Work in a high-volume, specialized GI/Endoscopy environment
• Gain experience with a wide variety of advanced procedures
• Opportunity to work with ERCP, EUS, PEG, and procedural sedation
• Supportive team with charge nurse coverage
